Congress to approve historic Alzheimer's disease research funding increase
The Alzheimer’s Association request for a $400 million Alzheimer's research funding increase at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for fiscal year 2017 is expected to be approved later this week. This marks the second consecutive year Congress has approved a historic funding increase for the nation's most expensive disease. This victory couldn't have happened without the combined efforts of the Alzheimer's Association, the Alzheimer's Impact Movement, and our advocates and supporters.

Webb tribute concert will also honor country-music legend Campbell
On May 3, a tribute concert of musicians performing the songs of Grammy-winning songwriter Jimmy Webb at Carnegie Hall will also honor Webb’s friend of 50 years, country-music legend Glen Campbell, who’s living with Alzheimer’s disease. Webb talked about watching Campbell’s fight against Alzheimer’s and the importance of music in every person’s life.
