Introducing Keynote Speaker Catherine Marenghi
This year, our keynote speaker is local author Catherine Marenghi who wrote the memoir Glad Farm. Catherine was born in Framingham and grew up in poverty in Milford, MA with her loving parents and four siblings, who fell on hard times when their gladiolus farm failed. For her first 18 years, Catherine and her family lived in a one room house her father built with no indoor plumbing. With the programs and services she and her family received, she was able to rise out of severe poverty and become a successful business women and writer. Graduating from Milford High School, Catherine was class valedictorian and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University. She will share her story of sadness and hope, and talk about the heroes in her life who helped her reach her dreams.
