June 23 - 24, 2023 Hilton Long Beach Long Beach, California BUY TICKETS Featured Speaker: Sahar Bedrood, MD, PhD Our host for the 2023 Patient Summit, Dr. Sahar Bedrood will be leading multiple sessions including Eyes on the Horizons: What's Next in the Glaucoma Pipeline?, The Power of You: Mastering Your Glaucoma Journey, and Seeing Beyond the Diagnosis: Strategies for Living Well with Glaucoma. Dr. Bedrood is a glaucoma and cataract specialist at Advanced Vision Care in Los Angeles. She received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and chemistry at University of California Los Angeles. She completed a combined MD/PhD program at the Keck School of Medicine, USC. She received her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology and finished her residency in ophthalmology at the Doheny/USC Roski Eye Institute. She completed her glaucoma fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.  Dr. Bedrood has been honored with multiple leadership and research awards. She is on the editorial board for Glaucoma Today as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology's EyeNet publication, and she serves on the board for Women in Ophthalmology. She currently is in private practice at Advanced Vision Care in Los Angeles, CA as well as Clinical Assistant Professor at USC Roski Eye Institute and Los Angeles County Medical Center where she teaches ophthalmic surgical training to the residents.
