Iowa Dept. of Public Health awarded grant to focus on Alzheimer's and dementia
The Iowa Department of Public Health was awarded a three year grant under the Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Act. The Alzheimer’s Association is looking forward to partnering with IDPH on this project to spread awareness about the risk and prevention of Alzheimer’s and dementia, early diagnosis, management of comorbidities and caregiver support.

Theisen's Forget-Me-Not Campaign raises over $56,000 for Walk to End Alzheimer's
Theisen’s stores across Iowa held their annual Forget-Me-Not campaign from August 10 September 10 to raise money and awareness for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. For the past 8 years, Theisen’s has supported Walk by selling $1 Forget-Me-Nots to their customers and donating 100% of the proceeds, and this year they raised a record breaking $56,600. During the lifetime of this campaign they have donated over $350,000 to fight Alzheimer's.
