Cancer drug shows promise for treating Alzheimer’s
The cancer drug sargramostim may improve memory and thinking in people living with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease, according to a small pilot study published in Alzheimer's & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions. While experts caution the research is preliminary, participants showed a reversal of brain damage associated with Alzheimer’s, as well as improved memory and thinking ability. The Alzheimer’s Association is supporting the study through the Part the Cloud grant-funding program.

Community Cooks | Recipes for a Reason

The United Way of Tri-County is calling on members of the community to whip up some magic for our cookbook fundraiser.

Families in Massachusetts are still struggling with hunger, with more people in need than ever before. This community-driven project will benefit United Way of Tri-County food security programs which provide thousands of meals and groceries to our neighbors living in the MetroWest/495 Corridor.

Do you have a recipe you love,
a crowd favorite, your go-to dish
that you are willing to share?

Submit your culinary secrets or favorite recipes by April 26.

Cookbooks will be sold online and at a discount through special promotion nights in partnership with local restaurants.
If your restaurant would like to hold a cookbook sale promotion night,
or if you have questions about submitting recipes,
contact Sandra Baldi at sandra.baldi@uwotc.org or 508-370-4873.
