That’s one way to look at our research funding program. Every year, we receive hundreds of promising grant applications. Thanks to generous funders and donors like you, we’re able to immediately fund only a percentage of them.
That means, we’ve still got potentially life-saving research projects waiting for funding—in 2016 alone, 110 research projects went unfunded due to budgetary concerns. Today, you have the chance to give approved projects the direct funding they need with a gift to the 2017 Research Fund Drive.
Every single dollar counts. The 2017 Research Drive ends on July 31 and our goal is to get 600 donors to step up so that potentially life-saving research projects can move forward–will you be one of them?

Research saves lives. As the largest private, nonprofit funder of cancer research in the United States, finding the answers that will save lives is integral to the American Cancer Society mission. That's why we've set a goal to double our annual investment in cancer research over the next 5 years.
Tushar, it’s a big goal, and we can reach it if we have the continued support and commitment of people like you. If every single one of our supporters gave $100, we could fund hundreds of game-changing research projects. In our most recent round of funding, we were able to support projects that could change the way we treat and diagnose lung cancer and metastatic breast cancer, among others. The answers are waiting for us–but we need your help to find them.
