"Can you help me?"

Tushar, it's the question we get most often when people call us. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, patients and families turn to us for information, for a ride to their appointments, or even just for someone to listen.

Regardless of why they call us, the answer is the same: at the American Cancer Society, we'll help in any and every way we can.

And that's because of you, Tushar. Every dollar you give helps support services, research, and programs that save lives. Often a call to the American Cancer Society is the first step in being connected with the resources needed to get better and stay healthy.

We answer more than 1.2 million calls and live chats every year. The questions and the calls for help don't stop—that's why we need 15,000 generous supporters to step up and keep our programs at full strength in the coming year.

Without your support to‍day, a patient's calls could go unanswered. Help us be prepared to answer every call for help we get in 2018: Make a tax-deductible contribution of $10 or more to the American Cancer Society before December 31.

As we prepare for the year ahead, your help is critical, Tushar, because with cancer, there's no such thing as a small question.

People call us the first time they feel a lump and don't know what to do. Parents call us asking how to get their children into our Clinical Trials Matching Service, clinging to hope that the next cancer breakthrough will be the solution their child desperately needs. Caregivers call us, holding back tears, asking our Health Insurance Assistance Service to help when insurance won't cover an ailing parent's care.

Whether we're offering tips on cancer prevention, helping a sick patient get to chemo, or explaining how friends and family can support a loved one with cancer, every single call we take is important. Those conversations are the difference between hope and despair, between knowledge and fear. And sometimes, they can be the difference between life and death.

You can make that difference for families fighting cancer, Tushar—by keeping the National Cancer Information Center, all of our lifesaving programs, services, and more, operating at full strength in 2018. Contribute at least $10 to the American Cancer Society before December 31 to make sure everyone has access to the help they need.

Thank you—never doubt that your support is making a difference. Together, we'll continue to fight until a world without cancer is a reality.

Sincerely,
Your American Cancer Society
